The 2010 Ag Unlimited Banquet was held Saturday, Feb. 6, at the Holiday Inn Select-Expo Center.
“I would like to give compliments to Brian Norton and Dennis Henks for chairing a wonderful evening,” said Dana Haynes, CAFNR Alumni Relations director. “This event is a highlight each year for the Ag Alumni Association, CAFNR and the university. It is a great opportunity for CAFNR alums and friends to come together and see each other during the year.”

This event, sponsored by MU CAFNR Alumni, helps raise money for scholarships, grants and college programs. They raised money at the event through silent and live auctions and special raffles. Proceeds this year are comparable with last year’s $53,000. The Alumni Association hopes to meet or exceed last year’s numbers. More than 600 individuals attended the event.
"Attending Ag Unlimited for the first time was an eye-opening experience,” said Jon Kirchhoff, student scholarship recipient. “There are so many people who are very generous and donate thousands of dollars to help students like me obtain a degree from a great university."
This year 25 scholarships were given to CAFNR students for the 2009-2010 school year. The recipients were in attendance and assisted guests throughout the evening.
“Ag Unlimited was truly a sight to see,” said Lindsey Stumpe, student scholarship recipient. “The alumni of this college showed their extreme support for the CAFNR students in so many ways. Not only did they donate a huge amount of money, but I was able to meet, visit and make connections in the field that I’m wanting to get into. Everyone was very interested in helping students and learning more about you.”
The 2011 Ag Unlimited Banquet is scheduled for Feb. 5.
