Meet Meg Robinson
by Aubrey Ellison, posted Sept. 19, 2011

Meg Robinson is a science and agricultural journalism major. This is a perfect career for her because it allows her to study two of the areas she is most passionate about: science and news. She is also majoring in political science.

Robinson became a vegetarian in the fourth grade and her favorite food is her mother’s grilled cheese sandwich.

“Nothing compares, not even Rollins,” she said.

She enjoys riding her bike and watching college football. Her favorite quote is by John Green: “There is no them. There are only facets of us.”

Robinson’s background may not be typical of most College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR) students. She grew up in Washington, D.C.,

Though she does not come from an agricultural background, Robinson is definitely interested in science. She came to the University of Missouri for its “amazing journalism school.”

Upon graduating Robinson would like to obtain a master’s in Evolutionary Biology. She would also like to study abroad at some point in her college career. Robinson would like to find a job with a nongovernmental organization, and sometime in the future she hopes to work for the U.N.
