The MU campus was abuzz most of the fall semester over the switch from the Big 12 Conference to the SEC. The university has been a member of the same conference (with minor changes) for more than 100 years. One of the traditions many fans hate to lose, is the MU/KU rivalry. According to Archives of the University of Missouri, the rivalry began in 1891. This rivalry is even responsible for introducing the first homecoming game. Many KU and MU fans spoke with Corner Post reporters at the most recent, and likely the last, MU vs KU football game in Kansas City on Nov. 26.
