Meet the Fall 2009 Corner Post Staff

Lauren Dye is a freshman agricultural journalism major from Paris, Mo.

Sami Jo Freeman agricultural journalism and agricultural education sophomore, grew up in Troy, Mo.

Aimee Gutshall. A picture is worth a thousand words and when one has a few albums full of them they combine to create long conversations.

Carah Hart. Have you ever listened to KMZU radio and heard a young, energetic, voice giving the daily advertisements?

Annette Jenkins describes herself as a silly hearted tomboy who just can’t wait to meet someone new.

Kielly Jewell is a freshman agricultural journalism major from Kidder, Mo.

Alex Johnson. Whether he’s talking in front of a camera or talking with his friends, Alex Johnson, a junior agricultural journalism major, is usually found talking to someone.

Morgan Ledermann. Sophomore and agricultural journalism major Morgan Noel Ledermann is from Plymouth, Calif., a small town just two hours east of San Francisco.

Lauren Malan. While growing up in the small town of Malta Bend, Mo., freshman Lauren Malan always dreamed of becoming a veterinarian.

Scarlett Miller came to the University of Missouri looking for a degree in Journalism.

Sean O'Brien. After another hard day’s work at band camp, MU freshman Sean O’Brien talks of farming, homemade fried chicken, and poetry.

Samantha Rhoades is a sophomore at the University of Missouri, pursuing a degree in agricultural journalism.

Hannah Riddle. Returning reporter Hannah Riddle brings experience and fun to the CAFNR Corner Post staff.

Lauren Schad. New to the Corner Post staff this fall semester is freshman agricultural journalism major, Lauren Schad.

Ty Scheets, a freshman at the University of Missouri plans to major in pre-med radiology and eventually become a certified medical doctor of radiology.

Brooklyn Shearer is a sophomore agricultural journalism and agricultural education major from Chillicothe, Mo., where her family maintained a 40-acre farm, raised pigs, sheep, horses and cattle before moving to Bowling Green for a short time.

Eran Shelby. “I’m a small town kid, driven by rock music and some honky-tonk, in the mix.”  These lyrics from the Eli Young Band sum up one sophomore attending the University of Missouri, Eran Shelby.

Lauren Studer. Not all freshmen are fortunate enough to have a clear idea of where they want to be. But for Lauren Studer, 18 and a freshman agricultural journalism major, there was never any doubt.

Kari Weis. For Kari Weis, it only took one look at the University of Missouri booth at the Illinois state FFA convention to know that Mizzou was the right choice for her.

Sarah Woodurst is the daughter of Brian and Delores Woodhurst of Perry, Mo. She has two younger sisters Rachel, 16 years old, and Kaitlyn, 9 years old.
