Julia Shuck, posted Oct. 30, 2006

“Be Different: Think Different, Manage Different, and Profit Different from New, Sustainable, and Innovative Ways to Farm.” This is the theme for the 14th National Small Farm Trade Show & Conference that will be held at the Boone County Fair grounds in Columbia November 2-4, 2006.

The trade show and conference, sponsored by Small Farm Today magazine, allows innovative farmers, ranchers and educators to share new ideas they are exploring through the trade show, seminars, demonstrations, exhibitions and meetings. Last year’s records show 4,400 people attended the 150 exhibitor small farm conference and trade show, the largest of its kind in the U.S.

The event is held Thursday Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 3-4, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $8 for the first day, and $20 each for the second and third days, which includes the trade show, one-hour seminars and farmer forums.
