Live
bands, food stands, artists, balloons and fire trucks are
just some of the fun things that one might have seen at the
Twilight Festival that took place on Sep. 14. The Twilight
Festival, held every Thursday night in June and September,
is truly an attraction for all ages.

The “Junk
Jam Trio” is made up of a group of three 13-year-old
boys who all attend Jefferson Junior High School. The boys,
Sawyer Wade, Brandon McGonigle and Arjun Khurana, are all
percussionists through their school. According to member Brandon
McGonigle, what he enjoys most is “Getting to play and
seeing people’s reactions.” Brandon said he likes
being interviewed as well. The boys accredit their success
to Russell Propp, who put them together and showed them the
basics. The group said they get their inspiration from watching
Stomp, a musical. This was their fifth performance at the
Twilight Festival.
Another
attraction at the Twilight Festival for the younger ones was
face painting. The Malone sisters, Madison, 6, and Kayli,
5, both got their faces painted. Madison said her favorite
part of attending the Twilight Festival was getting her face
painted. Kayli said she is “Just so excited to be here.
I’m just so glad to be here again.”
Besides
getting painted faces and enjoying the unique sounds of music,
the Twilight Festival offers a chance for a great sandwich
and if you’re lucky, a tour of a fire truck.

Festival can visit the Web site for more information.
