Homecoming Royalty Represents CAFNR

By “ Just be yourself, and go with it.”
These are the words of the University of Missouri’s
2005 Homecoming King.
On Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005, CAFNR’s own
Cory Robinson, an agribusiness management senior, earned the
title and honor of being
crowned Homecoming King on Faurot Field during the halftime coronation.
Homecoming day and the weeks leading up to it
could be described as a blur. The excitement of rushing around
and getting to meet
new people may be overwhelming for some. But the days and weeks
of preparing for this event were in the past. Working with the
blood drive, Tigers Taming Hunger, Tiger Tango, and the parade
had prepared the candidates for this moment. This was it. This
was what they’d all been waiting for.
“…
and the 2005 University of Missouri Homecoming King is…Cory
Robinson.”
“It was a lot of fun seeing family, friends and students come together.
Showing everybody a final product of what we had all been working on was one
of my favorite parts,” Robinson said.
“I really just want to thank everybody who voted, helped
and supported me. I really appreciate it. Thanks for the opportunities
and good times,” Robinson said.
Cory was sponsored by Alpha Gamma Rho, where he currently serves
as president. He also stays actively involved on campus as a teaching
assistant in the
Agricultural Economics department and is a member of the Greek Judicial
Board and CAFNR
Student Council.
