The Czech
Agricultural University is inviting students to spend six weeks
in central Europe this summer. Not only will they have an opportunity
to travel, learn about a new culture, and visit some of the most
famous places in Europe, they will be getting nine college credit
hours too.
Craig Hays, a junior agribusiness management major went on the
Prague study abroad trip his freshman year.
"Traveling outside of the classroom and outside of the country
is just awesome. It was really cool to see all the different places,”
Hays said.
The Prague trip gives students the opportunity to travel the country
with several day trips. Along with the day trips, there is a six-day
trip to travel the country. The students also have time on the
weekends to visit some of the other countries surrounding Prague.
Some students say the highlight of their trip was staying with
a Czech family for three days.
“The Prague trip gives you such a different perspective.
You see more and learn more. It’s good to break down stereotypes
and learn about yourself,” Roy Robinson, CAFNR Study Abroad
Director said.
CAFNR is now accepting application for the Prague trip. The deadline
is March 1, 2006. The total cost for the trip is $5,595. Any MU
student may apply as long as they have a 2.0 GPA and good academic
standing. The destined students will be headed to Prague June
17-July 30, 2006.
