CAFNR
Week gets down and dirty

GDI did their
part in helping students get down and dirty during CAFNR week.
On Saturday, Sept. 24, GDI held the third annual mud volleyball
match in the Trowbridge livestock arena.
“I figured, why study for the two tests that I have on Monday
when I can come out and do this?” GDI member Doug Ludwig
said. “You don’t even want to know what’s in
this mud either.”
The teams are co-ed and made up of six members each. Overall,
11 teams played this year, all paying an entry fee of 30 dollars.
“The teams play for no prize at all,” GDI member Chris
Beach said. “They just play for fun and so they can say
that they won.”
Many CAFNR organizations had members at the event, with GDI and
Sigma Alpha representing the majority of them.
“I’m playing for Sigma Alpha,” Brooke Shupe
said. “Megan Cooper, who is a CAFNR week queen candidate,
convinced me to play.”
As assumed, GDI who had six of the eleven teams, won Mud Volleyball,
but since it wasn’t for CAFNR Week points, everyone that
participated had a great time.
