Taking A Commercial Break

February 9, 2004 - Did you catch the big game? Many MU students did. But did you catch those commercials? The Super bowl game was flooded with commercials from Budweiser to Charmin and MasterCard to designated driving.

"You don't get up during the commercial break like you would at any other time," Rachel McGilvray, Sophomore Animal Science major, said. When it isn't your team playing the commercials become the highlight, but even if your team is playing you don't get up during the commercials."

What was your favorite commercial? We asked some MU students to see what they thought was the best. Here are the results.
1. Budweiser with "Donkey dreams of being a Clydesdale" 2. Frito-Lay with "Grandma and Grandpa fighting over a bag of Lay's"
3. Bud Light with "A romantic sleigh ride goes amiss."
4. Bud Light with "A man's pet monkey makes a move on his date"
5. Bud Light with "Owners demonstrate how their dogs fetch Bud Light"

Budweiser dreamed big and their donkey ran away with the gold. And who said "there's nothing good on TV?"
