Nov. 1, 2002 - College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources Student Council elections will take place Nov. 11 and 12 in Mumford, the Animal Sciences Center and the Ag Building. Students can run to represent either their respective classes or their majors.

"We (CAFNR Student Council) are the voice for the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources student body," Cara Copenhaver, ag journalism major and CAFNR Student Council president, said. "Listening to the students is our most important role."

The organization plans activities, such as Preview Mizzou, Fall Roundup and the Ag Week Volleyball Tournament. Student Council also played a role in deciding what would be available in the Gary Dickinson Student Achievement Center.

"Student Council is a great organization to join because it brings all the different degrees, classes and specialized organizations together do to something for the whole college," CAFNR Student Council Vice President Jesse Stiefel said.

Student Council applications are available at the Student Council bulletin board in the Ag Building and in each department's office. Completed applications are due Wednesday, along with three pictures, in 2-64 Ag Building.
