CAFNR
students will vote for Student Council representatives next week

Nov. 1, 2002
- College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources Student Council
elections will take place Nov. 11 and 12 in Mumford, the Animal
Sciences Center and the Ag Building. Students can run to represent
either their respective classes or their majors.
"We (CAFNR
Student Council) are the voice for the College of Agriculture,
Food and Natural Resources student body," Cara Copenhaver,
ag journalism major and CAFNR Student Council president, said.
"Listening to the students is our most important role."
The organization
plans activities, such as Preview Mizzou, Fall Roundup and the
Ag Week Volleyball Tournament. Student Council also played a role
in deciding what would be available in the Gary Dickinson Student
Achievement Center.
"Student
Council is a great organization to join because it brings all
the different degrees, classes and specialized organizations together
do to something for the whole college," CAFNR Student Council
Vice President Jesse Stiefel said.
Student Council
applications are available at the Student Council bulletin board
in the Ag Building and in each department's office. Completed
applications are due Wednesday, along with three pictures, in
2-64 Ag Building.
