Dickinson
Achievement Center opening delayed due to furniture confusion

- The College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources' (CAFNR's)
new student service office in the Gary Dickinson Student Achievement
Center will not be occupied quite yet. Although the space itself
will soon be completed, the furniture and other decorations will
not be installed until late September or early October.
CAFNR Assistant
to the Vice Chancellor and Dean James Hundle said the delay was
due to problems with the ordering of office furniture and decorations.
"We're
still planning to have our grand opening Homecoming weekend,"
Hundle said.
Academic Programs
Office assistant Kelli Fent said she expects the delays will make
the facility more ready for student and office workers alike.
"Having
a delay means we'll have more chance to make sure everything works
and work the bugs out if we have to," Fent said.
