Oct.
1, 2002 - Nineteen teams entered the Ag Week volleyball tournament,
which took place Tuesday night at the Student Recreation Center.
Teams competed for a $200 grand prize, $100 2nd-place prize and
$50 3rd-place prize.
Alpha
Gamma Rho, which entered three teams, smoked many of its competitors,
leaving many organizations disappointed. However, good sportsmanship
was expressed throughout the evening, and most individuals were
glad they had participated.
After
losing both games to AG Rho, Collegiate Horseman's Association
member Jacob Crandall said the tournament was "all in good
fun."
"Good
sportsmanship is the key to success," Megan Perry, Agricultural
Communicators of Tomorrow member, said.

Gamma Rho III and the Pre-Vet players advanced to the final round
and battled it out for the championship spot. In the end, it was
the Pre-Vet players who took home the $200 grand prize.
Alpha
Gamma Rho III took home the $100 2nd-place prize, and Farmhouse
received $50 for its 3rd-place finish.
"It
is really cool that someone would organize an activity where everyone
could compete, regardless of their talent level," Liz Jones,
Pre-Vet team member said.
