CAFNR Students Rev Up for Road Rally
Anthony Robb, Corner Post staff
Sept. 29, 2002
- As part of Ag Week 2002, College of Agriculture, Food and Natural
Resources students participated in the Road Rally, sponsored by
the Ag Systems Management club, on Sunday afternoon. The event
is an automobile scavenger hunt during which teams receive clues
and questions that direct them to different checkpoints along
the way. The winners are determined by time, mileage and answers
to the questions.
A small error
in the clues that told students to turn left instead of right
caused most of the teams to go a few miles out of the way. Fortunately
for the team members, one of the locals knew his way around the
area and pointed them in the right direction.
After hours
had passed and team members had covered a lot of miles - on and
off the pavement - the participants returned to the Trowbridge
parking lot in their dust-covered vehicles to turn in their final
results.
Winners are
listed below:
1st place:
tie - Block and Bridle 2, GDI 1
3rd place: GDI 2
4th place: GDI 3
5th place: Collegiate CattleWomen
