Ag Week Participants Score Points for Attending Events
Cara Copenhaver, Corner Post staff
Sept. 28, 2002
- This year, the Ag Week Steering Committee wants students to
"Discover the Differences" not only in the College of
Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources but also in the scoring
system for the numerous activities and events that will take place
during Ag Week, Sept. 28-Oct. 4.
"We have
changed a few things, and it is very important that club leaders
tell this to their members," Zach Crews, co-chairman of the
Community Service Committee, said.
Organizations
will be awarded points for participating in each event, as well
as for the percentage of members in attendance. Students must
sign in at the entrance of each event to gain points for their
organizations.
"Each
club has given us an updated list of their members, and it is
very important that spectators of events sign in," Crews
said.
Points will
be awarded for the following events: Stick Horse Rodeo, Skit Nite,
Comedy Night, Washers Tournament, Volleyball Tournament, Community
Service and Educational Extravaganza.
"Other
events will not be awarded points but we ask that leaders encourage
members to attend, because they are all going to be fun,"
Katie Williams, co-chairwoman of the Community Service Committee,
said.
The organization
that has the most points at the end of the week will be the winner
of MU's 98th annual Ag Week.
