College to host finals week study/food night on May 8
By Alice Roach, Corner Post staff

The College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources’ Student Council invites students to participate in the Finals Week Study/Food Night 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on May 8 in the Agriculture Building.

The idea, drafted by the CAFNR Student Council Relations Committee, gives CAFNR students an opportunity to enjoy food, ice cream and entertainment while mingling with professors and TA’s. During the evening, students can ask for last minute pointers and advice about preparing for CAFNR final exams.

Sophomore class representative Maranda Taylor, one of the event’s organizers, believes the event will help students relax and answer questions about exams.

“We feel that it will give students an opportunity to take a study break as well as have the opportunity to ask some last minute test questions of professors and TA’s,” Taylor said. “This will allow the students to feel at ease with last minute questions they may have feared not being answered before test time.”
A total of 50 to 75 students, faculty and TA’s are expected to attend this year’s event.

“We believe a ‘kick-off’ will provide students with a desire and motivation to start finals week off on a strong note!” Taylor said.
