Lost in the Corn
Robert Powell, Corner Post Staff

Last Wednesday the Collegiate Farm Bureau (CFB) traveled to Shyrock's Corn Maze for a meeting followed by an evening of fun. "It was a great time for new members to get to know some of the current members of our club and to have a break from all of that midterm studying," said CFB secretary Erica Coble, agricultural journalism.

The corn maze gave CFB members and CAFNR students a chance to get together and have a good time. Luckily when the night was over, the same number of students who entered the maze came out of the maze.

At the meeting, members discussed the upcoming officer elections and the CFB Discussion Meet, an event held in November where members can partake in an agriculture discussion competition. The winner of this will represent Mizzou's CFB chapter at the Missouri Farm Bureau's annual meeting in December. The winner of that competition will go to the American Farm Bureau Convention.

"I love Farm Bureau because it gets you involved in the political side of agriculture and you get to do fun stuff too," said Adam Thomas, agricultural systems management.
