Students Buzz in for Ag Week
Amanda Schad, CAFNR Corner Post Reporter

Sept. 25, 2003—The Ag Week Knowledge Bowl, sponsored by the Ag Ed Society, took place Wednesday evening in the Ag Building. There were four teams competing: Ag Ed Society, Sigma Alpha 1, Sigma Alpha 2, and the Independent Aggies. Competition consisted of teams answering 21 questions from various departments in the College of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources.

With Jackie Campbell and Ben Thompson as question reader and timer, the mood was light. When Zach Crews accidentally buzzed in during introductions, Kellen Fischer joked, “He’s like, ‘I know this one!’”

Participants enjoyed themselves and there was only one complaint. “I think there was no Fish and Wildlife Biology questions and I’m disappointed,” said Laura Strasser, Fish and Wildlife Biology Junior. “It’ll be better next year,” said Thompson.

The Independent Aggies won the contest, with Sigma Alpha 2 taking second place and Sigma Alpha 1 taking 3rd place. Ag Ed Society ended up in last place after one of their team members had to leave.
